The Art of Lip Blushing

Lip blushing (also known as aquarelle) is a semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo that uses water-based inks to enhance the natural shape & color of your lips. the technique uses a quick consistent hand motion that creates a series of pixels as opposed to a solid line resulting in a lip tint that’s very naturally flattering. lip blushing gives lips a gorgeous flush & creates fullness for a youthful look.

FAQS

How long does it last?

lasts between 2-3 years depending on client’s body, skin type, lifestyle & also after care. smoking & sun exposure can speed up the fading process as well as factors such as having oily skin, iron deficiency, using exfoliants, retinol or vitamin c. a touch up after 6-8 weeks will also help with longevity.

can i get lip blush if i have lip fillers?

yes! having lip injections doesn’t interfere with the process of tattooing lips or the results. it can be very complimentary. but appointments must be at least 4 weeks apart from each other. if you don’t have lip fillers yet & are considering it, it’s recommended to get lip blushing done first.

does it hurt?

each experience varies depending on the individual’s tolerance to pain. also, if you’re on your menstrual cycle you will be more sensitive to pain but a topical anesthetic is applied throughout the procedure to ensure a comfortable experience. please follow pre-care as this can also help prevent un-necessary bleeding, swelling & pain.

how long is the procedure?

the procedure itself takes about 3 hours. consult, color choice, lip mapping & numbing will be additional 1.5 hours (approx).

Healing schedule?

5-7 days shedding should be complete. the color will lighten to a milky appearance then darken day by day. the true color will surface by the second to third week.
